Disputes in this business usually come down to "That's not what we agreed." Fireflies.ai records and transcribes conversations and writes AI summaries, so you have a searchable record of scope, change orders, and promises. Here's how it fits a contractor. Pricing and features were checked on fireflies.ai/pricing on October 14, 2026.
Pricing
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 |
| Pro | $10 per seat per month | $18 per seat per month |
| Business | $19 per seat per month | $29 per seat per month |
| Enterprise | $39 per seat per month (annual only) | n/a |
A "seat" is anyone you add to your Fireflies workspace. You can share a meeting recap link with people outside your team for free.
What it does that's useful in the trades
- Records video calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and other platforms. That's handy for remote estimate calls with homeowners, adjusters, or designers.
- Mobile apps for Android and iOS, plus a desktop app.
- Upload audio and video files for transcription. Record a site walk on your phone, then upload it.
- AI summaries and an AI assistant ("AskFred") for questions about a conversation.
- Search within a meeting and across all meetings. You can find "the tile allowance" without replaying an hour of audio.
- Languages: English is the main supported language. Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, and 100+ others are in beta.
Things to know
- You sign in with Google or Outlook.
- Some features, such as integrations, video recording, and analytics, are on paid tiers. Check the plan table for the feature you need.
- Recording consent: recording laws vary by state. Tell the other party you're recording, and get their OK.
Verdict
For a small contractor, start on the Free plan. Record your next few estimate calls, or upload a site-walk recording, and see whether the summaries hold up for your kind of work. Move to Pro only if you need more than the free tier allows.
